March Updates

Hi All!

To those of you who came to Tuesday's meeting, thank you very much!
Here's what happened:

Dave Neumann gave a short presentation of the inner workings of city hall and some things going on in Oak Cliff.

We all got to see the new logo art for Kiestwood HHA that will be used at events, and in the public domain.

3 gift cards($25) from Calloways were given away in a drawing to Emory Tipping, Jon Montgomery, and Lisa Ripley!

Tim Kerkman from Kiestwood and Mariana Griggs from Oak Cliff Community Gardens spoke briefly about our garden at the church.

More garden plots were paid for that night. If you want one, you better hurry!

A clean up day for the garden and surrounding area is scheduled for this Saturday the 13th from 1-4 pm. Bring large trash bags and gloves as we are picking up
garbage/litter in the garden area.

Our new Kiestwood Community Garden sign will be installed out front at Ravinia, so we might be taking pictures of members with the sign!

Whew! If you did not come to the meeting, see what you missed?!?!

Our next meeting is on June 8th. We will have an indoor summer picnic and the entire meeting will be focused on the garden. Make plans to bring either a summer side
dish, or a summer dessert. KHHA will bring the fried chicken. If some of you are expert fried chicken chefs, please bring your special chicken and let us sample it!

Finally, Kiestwood is going on FACEBOOK! We will keep the site a little while longer but FACEBOOK allows everyone to really participate in the process of making
Kiestwood a great place to live. Pictures can be posted easier, information can be accessed A LOT easier. So if you do not have a FACEBOOK account, go ahead
and get one NOW. You do not have to fill out all of the personal profile information, so you can remain as hidden as you want to be.

I will notify you when it is up and ready to see.

Have a good weekend and we will see you on Saturday.

Raymond
