Tuesday, October 6th is the the next National Night Out event. The occasion draws attention to the fact that we are all "each others keeper" and need to always be on the lookout for those who think otherwise.
Kiestwood is not having a formal event for October 6th. What we are asking is that everyone does a simple thing and that would be to "turn on your porch lights" that night and every night of the week.
Extra light does curtail crime. If you do not have "motion detector lights" mounted on the outside of your
home, this is an excellent deterrent. We have neighbors in Kiestwood who can install this very simply and
very INEXPENSIVELY.
So beginning now, October 6 and every night thereafter, turn on your lights!
