Kiestwood is the GREENEST Neighborhood in Oak Cliff!

Kiestwood leads the southern half of the city in recycling.  Many areas of northern Dallas have done well with a program of once a week trash and once a week recycling pickups and starting March 4th, this neighborhood will lead the way for Oak Cliff when it moves to once a week recycling and once a week trash pickup!

Kiestwood is proud to be the FIRST neighborhood south of Downtown to be added to the list of "Green Conscious" neighborhoods in Dallas.  At their February 10th homeowners meeting, Councilman Dave Neumann along with the sanitation Department staff announced that Kiestwood is the first neighborhood in Oak Cliff to move to a recycling schedule that already is proving to be a green success in north Dallas areas.

Kiestwood is extremely proud of the way that it has connected to City Hall via its City Councilmember, Dave Neumann and our organization!  Going green is something we can all be proud of and neighbors here are thrilled to be part of a group of forward thinking, progressive, and environmentally aware Dallasites!

For about two years, most of Kiestwood has been recycling and most of the 402 households have the blue bins already.  The homeowners group has been effective in getting the word out to our neighbors that FREE recycling is available in Dallas!

Located adjacent to Kiest Park, Kiestwood is a leader in a lot of ways.  It contains one of the largest concentrations of intact Ranch and Mid-century homes in the Dallas area.  Many say that this is typical of the good work residents do here and Kiestwood wants to show the rest of Dallas what a truly GREAT neighborhood can do!
